Daily Life
Ancient Egypt stood as one of the world’s most advanced civilizations for nearly 3,000 years. Daily Life in Ancient Egypt was around the Nile River. The Nile had very good land and soil because of the yearly flooding there. The people in Ancient Egypt where extremely wealthy because of the fertile soil and all of the crops grown there. People of Ancient Egypt built mud brick homes in villages or in the country. They grew some of their own food and traded in the villages for the food and goods they could not produce.
Women Daily Life/Rights
In this society, Women were not forced into marriage; they could refuse it if they wanted to. Women could get married between 12-14 years old. If they didn’t like the marriage they could also ask to be divorced, or be legally broken up. Although they had to give a good reason. Unlike in other civilizations they were often forced into marriage by their parents. Women were supposed to care for the family. Which means taking care of the children, washing the house, and cooking.
Social Structure
Now for the social structure, the Pharaoh is the leader. The Pharaoh can be a girl or a boy, after the Pharaoh becomes the Government Officials. Government Officials belonged to the highest class on Egypt's social pyramid after the pharaohs. The Government Officials followed the orders of the pharaoh, they followed the pharaoh, and assisted him. After the Government Officials were the priests. The priests practiced that was muslim. After was the scribes; they basically wrote for the people who couldn’t write. After the scribes it was craftworkers, metal workers, painters, sculptures. This class was basically a working class. They were very skilled, but were rated lower then they deserved. Finally, at the bottom of the pyramid, was the peasants, and slaves. They worked under everyone in the town. They were treated poorly, and were considered "land".
